We will have both regular spaghetti and chicken spaghetti.  Proceeds will go towards the cost of summer youth camp.

Cost for camp is $65.00.   A $25.00 deposit per camper is due no later than Feb. 1st. Balance due on or before February 15, 2012.

We are going to Pineywoods June 18th – 22nd. The cost is $120 per student.

If your student is involved in the Leadership Track, we will also be taking a special mission trip to work in Houston’s inner city. It will be July 8th – 14th. The trip will cost about $400 per student, but we will be working hard (by fundraising) to make it as cheap as possible. There’s other things coming up, but those are the biggies for the summer. If you’re interested in helping a Leadership Student get to the mission trip, let Jeff know.

To be a follower of Jesus Christ is not to be one who simply knows some casual information about Him, but one who is seeking to intimately know Him daily.  Look at these three words:

CREATOR                                    SAVIOR                                    SOVEREIGN

What do these three words mean to you?

The follower of Jesus knows Him as Creator.  Speaking of Jesus Paul says,

“For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones    or powers or rulers or authorities all things were created by Him and for Him.”            Col. 1:16

The follower knows Jesus as Savior.  The Bible also says,

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.  1 Timothy 1:15

The follower knows that Jesus is Creator, Savior, and that He is Sovereign or Lord.

He is Lord of lords and King of kings.  Revelation 17:14

These are not a simple series of factoids about an historical figure.  They are the heart of a relationship, a heart that is beating out the rhythm of life within those who pursue Him.  Know Him today.  Know the living relationship that will change your every waking moment.  Make the choice today and declare,

“I am not a fan.”

On Sunday, January 29th at 5pm, our fellowship hall will be full of people with information about places and times to engage in mission work.  There will be multiple opportunities to learn about.  A few will be in our own church facility.  There are also opportunities in Marshall, North East Texas, in-state, in-country, and a few global opportunities.
