ReFuel (students)
I’m very excited about some of the serving opportunities our students have had and have coming up. This first week of April, our students are on a mini-mission trip saturating their campuses with copies of scripture. Saturday the 7th, after the resurrection celebration, we have a group of students going to serve at Lakeview Baptist Encampment. We are also gearing up to raise money and funds for world hunger through World Vision’s “30 Hour Famine” program. Youth camp is also coming up soon. Please see our church website for more information on these amazing events.
The ReFuel Student Group has a basic three-fold purpose: To Love, Serve, and Grow. We want to teach students to not only Love God with all their hearts, but to love others in the same way. Service, therefore, is a natural outpouring of that love. The immediate focus of Refuel is teaching students to serve. Mission projects, mission camp, and mission trips are all an effort to instill a lifestyle of service into our students.
Through loving and serving, our ultimate goal is for the students of ReFuel to grow. Firstly, we hope to see every student in ReFuel come to a saving relationship through Christ. As a leadership, we are currently working on being more relational with students in the context of discipleship, teaching them to seek God on their own in hopes that when they graduate out of ReFuel, they do not graduate out of their faith in Jesus Christ.
