From Your Pastor’s Heart

The visible nature of the church is seen in its ministry to others not in its buildings. I am so thankful that Crossroads Baptist Church is a gathering of believers who make ministering to others a priority. There are several opportunities ongoing that give each one of us an opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.

In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost. Matthew 18:14

Operation Christmas Child – filling a shoe-box with goodies, necessities, prayers and love to send around the world to a child in need, boxes are due November 13.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat. Matthew 25:35

Thanksgiving Food Box Drive – we will be gathering food here at Crossroads to be boxed up and delivered to our community on Monday, November 21. Bring your food items November 1 – 20 and place them at the appropriate sites around the church. Each Sunday School class will be responsible for gathering names and delivering boxes.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19

Lottie Moon Christmas Offering – Our church is challenged to reach the $10,000 mark in support of our missionaries around the world. All of us will have to give sacrificially to help these missionaries as they carry the great message of God’s Love around the world. Plan now to generously participate in this offering beginning December 1 and ending January 31, 2012. Learn more @ www. imb.org.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6

Birthday Party for Jesus – December 11, 2011 will be a great day for us; we will hear our adult and children’s choirs present beautiful Christmas Worship, and we will receive a special offering to assist some families during the Christmas season.

Be prepared to give a monetary gift so that we can bless those in need this Christmas season.
May God broaden your world through your generosity and willingness to go to others who are in need, by praying daily for those who are hurting in our world and in our own community, and by “BEING the Church” wherever you are, whoever you are with, whatever you are doing.
