From Your Pastor’s Heart

SUMMER[AT]HOME has been a wonderful experience this past month. It has been wonderful for families to enjoy each other and enjoy God together. Thanks to everyone who has participated and posted on Facebook. Remember that on Sunday, August 10 we will be recognizing our families who have participated. We will also be giving prizes for those who participated all four nights and posted pictures to Facebook. We have 4, $25 CajunTex gift cards and a Marshall stay-cation to give away. Thanks to CajunTex, Holiday Inn Express, and Central Perks, for their support of intentional families. Many thanks to Shea Magouirk and her helpers for making our SUMMER[AT]HOME campaign a successful one.

Don?t forget to make sure your family is registered at the FAITH[AT]HOME resource center. We want all of our children to receive the benefit of the FAITH PATH KITS.

SUMMER AWAY FROM HOME! I consider my life worth nothing to me if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me, the task of testifying to the gospel of God?s grace. Acts 20:24

As believers we exist to worship the One who has gloriously and completely saved us. We also exist to share that message that erupts into lives of praise. At Crossroads we are a church that places a heavy emphasis on being about this task. On Sunday, August 10 we will experience an exciting time of worship as we hear from our summer Crossroads? mission trips. From Pace, Mississippi to Huntsville, Texas; from Ecuador to Nicaragua, we will hear about the exciting adventures of serving for the sake of the gospel.

OUR FAMILY GROWING Over the next few weeks (August 10 & 17) we will be witnessing together the first steps of Christian obedience for several folks here at Crossroads. Both children and adults will be walking into the waters of baptism to profess their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord. Join us to express your joy and support for these who are giving witness to the work of Christ in their lives.

SCHOOL STARTING Sunday, August 17 will be day of COMMISSIONING as we all anticipate a new school year. We are so thankful to have many educators, administrators, and board members in our family at Crossroads. We always expect and enjoy sending those leaders, as well as our children, into a new school year with God?s blessing for His glory.

All for Him, Pastor David
